Application procedures to the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences
Application procedures differ with status. If you are not clear on your status, please contact the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, International Liaison Office to find out.

1. If you would like to study abroad as a Special Auditing Student
Please read the below guidelines carefully and complete your application before the deadline.
◆Application deadline
For Spring Semester (April) enrollment: November 15st
For Autumn Semester (October) enrollment: May 1st
◆Documents required for application
1)University designated application form (download from here)
2) All Diplomas or Graduation Certificates Issued by Universities or Colleges Attended
3) Transcripts of Scholastic Record Issued by all Universities or Colleges Attended
If your university does not issue a copy of academic record or graduation certificate, have a copy of the original record certified by the university and submit the certified copy. All official documents written in a language other than Japanese or English must be accompanied by a Japanese or English translation of the document.
4) Nomination letter issued by faculty member/administrative member who is in charge of exchange program【sample】
5) Research plans (up to 2 pages)
2. If you would like to study abroad as a Special Research Student
Please read the below guidelines carefully and complete your application before the deadline.
◆Application deadline
5 months before enrollment
For example, if you wish to start your research on June 1st, submit all the necessary paperwork to the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, International Liaison Office by January 1st. Your faculty advisor at GSFS must have been fixed before you file your application.

1) University designated application form (download from here
2) Transcripts of Scholastic Record Issued by all Universities or Colleges Attended
