Kashiwa Science Camp (KFC) program aims to provide first-year and second-year students at the University of Tokyo with opportunities to experience the actual site of the "adventure for knowledge" where cutting-edge research is performed at the Kashiwa campus and receive basic training to learn the basics of research to be researchers in the future.
The KFC is a four-day concentration program held during the winter. Students experience the most advanced research in laboratories at the Kashiwa campus in groups of about four students and make a presentation on the last day of the program on what they learned.
Supervised by the world's top-class professors, students can encounter new worlds that they cannot experience in regular classes with wide-ranging topics. The program provides students with an excellent opportunity to plan their future lives as researchers through communications with graduate students, young researchers, and international researchers who support the program.
