  1. Job title and number of positions available: one postdoctoral researcher

  2. Start of Term: 2022-04-01 (flexible)

  3. Term of Employment: fixed term (2022-04-01 to 2023-03-31)

  4. Extension of employment: by 1 year, up to 4 times, until 2027-03-31

  5. Probation Period: 6 months from the start date of employment

  6. Place of Work: Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo (5-1-5 Kashiwanoha, Kashiwa-shi, Chiba)

  8. Content of Work Duties: data analysis related to breakdown of genome resilience

  9. Working Hours: Based on the discretionary work system for professional work, working hours are deemed to be 7 hours and 45 minutes per day

  10. Overtime work: no

  11. Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and end-of-year holidays (December 29 to January 3)

  12. Paid Leave: Annual leave, special leave, etc.

  13. Salary: (approx.) 300,000 yen per month and performance bonus 60,000 yen.

  14. Insurance: social insurance, employment insurance (when the legal requirements are met)

  15. Payday: closed at the end of the month, paid on the 17th of the month in principle

  16. Requirements: Ph.D. in science. Experience analyzing large genetic sequence datasets. Proficiency in a productive programming language such as Python. Ability to conceive of research questions, and write scientific papers. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively. Deep knowledge of either computer science or genetics.
