- News
Message from the Chair of the Division of Environmental Studies.
Attention All Personnel actively involved in the Environmental Studies,
RE: Change of restriction level of entry in the Environmental Studies Building (as of April 27)
The University of Tokyo is expected to raise its activity restriction index level from Level 0.5 to Level pre-1 from April 27th.
Level pre-1's restrictions are almost the same as Level 1 except that not all classes are conducted online.
As such, the management system of the Environmental Studies Building will be as follows from April 27th.
・Entry is possible with the IC cards registered with the Environmental Studies Building Office. Entry is accessible with these IC cards through the two entrances with the card scanners only.
This management system is the same as that which is carried out during the weekends and night-time. For security reasons, please try to avoid entering the building at night and on holidays.
・To record your entry and exit time in the system, please scan your University of Tokyo student ID / staff ID on the currently operating card readers "ENTRY" and "EXIT" panels when entering or leaving the Environmental Studies Building.
・Each laboratory is asked to undertake sufficient measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection when they have non-university personnel visitors. Please make sure that all the required information for entry regarding the visitors are recorded down, as always.
・Faculty staff and students who are currently not registered but need to enter the Environmental Studies Building even at Level 1, please apply for and obtain approval from the Chair of the Division of Environmental Studies, through the head of the department concerned.
Those who have obtained approval from the Chair will be allowed to enter the building with their IC cards.
Note that those who can gain entry into the Environmental Studies Building with their IC cards can gain entry into the Transdisciplinary Sciences Building through the main entrance.
Chair, Division of Environmental Studies
Professor Shin'ichi Warisawa
