The importance of quality in energy resources will be introduced, taking into account the history of the formation of the energy concept, and how it is involved in our economy, society, and environment will be discussed from a historical perspective.

Electric propulsion is the next generation technology to significantly reduce CO2 emissions from passenger aircraft. This lecture introduces electric propulsion system technologies such as hybrid electric propulsion and all-electric propulsion, as well as superconducting technologies that are expected to be applied to these systems.

Genomic polymorphisms have been implicated in the susceptibility to lifestyle-related diseases. These genomic polymorphisms are thought to be the result of natural selection as well as population size changes and migration experienced by ancestral populations. In this seminar, I will mainly introduce the relationship between genetic adaptation to cold environments and obesity susceptibility in modern humans.
