U Tokyo Kashiwa Open Campus 2024 was held on 25 and 26 October.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of São Paulo, Brazil, visited to see the UTST and TST-2 devices.

M1 students visited QST. They toured the JT-60SA torus hall, its control room, and the R&D laboratories for equipment to be installed in ITER.

On August 15 and September 14, 2024, we hosted 5 high school students from Edogawa Gakuen Toride High School at our Kashiwa Campus for practical training.

In summer 2024, 14 master course and 5 doctor course students passed the entrance examination of this program.

Department of Advanced Energy:

12 Master course and 4 Doctor course students (Two of them have a second examination.)

In September 2024, one doctor course students completed this program.

We had 21 visitors. They are members of Office for Advancement of Research Administrators at the University of Tokyo Headquarters and UTokyo Research Administrators (UTRAs) who are certified by the University of Tokyo.

We had 20 visitors from EU and Japan who attended the JT-60SA INTERNATIONAL FUSION SCHOOL(JIFS). They enjoyed a device tour, and exchanges.

16 junior high school and high school students from Shinchi-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, visited the Kashiwa-Campus as a summer school and attended classes on nuclear fusion.

11 nuclear fusion scientists from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, visited the Kashiwa-campus On July 15-16, 2024. They attended the laboratory tour and discussion.

We had 4 visitors from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China. They attended the laboratory tour.

We had 40 visitors from Sao Paulo, Brazil. They attended the lecture and laboratory tour.

In April 2024, 14 Master's students and 1 doctoral students enrolled in this program.

In October 2023, 2 doctoral students enrolled in this program.

A seminar "The Role of Technology in Sustainability" was held in collaboration between the Fusion Research Education Program and the Sustainable Society Design Center (SSDC).

U Tokyo Kashiwa Open Campus 2023 will be held on 27 and 28 October.

Nuclear Fusion Research Education Program will provide an online public lecture "Take a Look at the Frontier of Nuclear Fusion Research" on Saturday 28 October, from 4 to 5 PM. Please feel free to join the lecture.

In September 2023, two master course students completed this program.

We hosted five students from Edogawa Gakuen Toride High School at the Kashiwa campus, where they attended a lecture, laboratory tour, and practice.

In summer 2023, 15 master course and 3 doctor course students passed the entrance examination of this program.

41 Students from Akita High School visited us.

Fusion lectures and lab tour were conducted for 15 Students from Tsinghua University, China.

We had an "Institute Visit" of "Science Week for High School Students" program of Tokyo Board of Education.

We had a visit of 7 scientists of ST development group from Taiwan.
