We aim at understanding and appilication of extreme matter: from ultra-low temperature matter to ultra-high temperature plasma. Our group consists of two subgroups. The Nano group studies complex phenomena on surface and inside of solid from the microscopic view points, and devlopes new functional meterial. The Plasma group studies high-temperature and high-beta plasmas, and carries out fusion energy research using spherical tokamaks.
